The Jews’ material and cultural plight is ever-worsening. Emancipation and attempts to integrate do not offer a real solution. The roots of the Jewish problem are in an anomaly unique to the Jewish people: the absence of a national home of their own. The solution, therefore, is not emancipation in other societies, but Jewish-national sovereignty in the Land of Israel. According to Theodor herzl’s vision, the majority of Jews must be gathered with international sanction into the Land of Israel, to be developed as the national home of the Jewish people and an exemplary society.
