Must Know

Leonard Norman (Eliezer) Cohen (1934-2016) was born in Canada and started his career as a poet. he immigrated to the U.S. in 1967 hoping to become a singer and songwriter. In 1968, while in Nashville recording his second album, Cohen became anxious and suffered stage fright due to several failures he experienced in concerts promoting his first album and considered quitting the stage and focusing only on recording. When he understood that this would damage his career, he asked his friend the sculptor Morton Rosengarten to make an iron cast of his face that he could wear during his concerts. Subsequently he found other ways to overcome his stage fright, and gradually formed a large and loyal audience. he was inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame.
