Rabbi Moses ben Nachman (1194-1270) was born in Girona, Spain. he was a commentator,
physician and philosopher, who in his writings attempted to combine, for the first time,
the heritage of the Sephardi sages with that of their counterparts in Ashkenaz.
he was one of the most important kabbalists in the Middle Ages,
served as a personal advisor to the King of Spain, and also took part in the famous Barcelona Disputation,
in which his arguments prevailed.
