The role played by Jews in Western culture in the 20th and 21st centuries has been pervasive. They have influenced multiple and diverse fields – ranging from the exact sciences to the humanities,
from literature and poetry to law and politics, and from architecture to the performing arts. In 1905, Adolf von Baeyer was the first Jew to receive a Nobel Prize. Since then, 22.4% of all Nobel Prizes been awarded to Jews. In this activity, you will meet thinkers, scientists, writers, artists, people of letters, and other Jews who are cultural and philosophical heroes.
