Text: Between Matter and Spirit

Text Panel

Jewish religious objects are not only intended for decoration or memory. They also play a key role in Jewish rituals. Their use provides a tangible expression of the transition between sacred and profane. More importantly, the objects represent the connection between matter and spirit and between human beings and God. Since the beginning of history and up to the present, the purpose of using religious objects in the home has been to show devotion to God and the desire to grow closer to Him.
