This Pentateuch was printed by Eleazar Soncino, a member of the famous
printer family whose publishing house was among the first to print hebrew
texts in Italy and the Ottoman Empire.
Must Know
The fact that along with the Masoretic Text and the Targum Onkelos to Aramaic (from the 3rd century) it also includes the Judeo-Arabic translation by Saadia Gaon (882-942) and the translation into Judeo-Persian by Yaacov Taves (16th century) attests to the broad geographical distribution the Pentateuch was destined to have.
