State of Israel - the only jewish center in the world
The Jewish State in Numbers
In 1948, for the first time in two thousand years, a sovereign and independent Jewish state was established – Israel. The wars and economic hardships since then have not impeded the absorption of new immigrants who came, and continue to come, to the country from all four corners of the earth. Israel is also the only Jewish center in the world today that has an autonomous government and functions as a state.
