Jewish contribution to world culture in modern times
The Shrine of Jewish Culture Jewish cultural creativity has rested on a variety of factors, internal and external alike, and some favorable and some hostile. In the last 300 years, Jewish artists, scholars and intellectuals have made an unparalleled contribution to world culture. They include groups and individuals whose works incorporate ‘Jewish elements.’
It is difficult, and perhaps impossible, to define the precise ‘Jewish nature’ of those elements. However, it appears that one can sketch a kind of domain with unclear boundaries which can be called modern-day Jewish culture.
