Today, as in the past, there are also two large, dynamic and influential centers in the Jewish world. The State of Israel is the largest Jewish center in the world, where for the first time in thousands of years there is political autonomy. It has a bustling and diverse society which constitutes fertile ground for creating Jewish and Israeli culture. The second largest center is in the United States. Coupled with their integration into American society and culture, Jews in the United States lead rich Jewish cultural and religious lives. Vibrant Jewish life also exists in other Jewish communities across the globe.
