This amulet was found in a Genizah, with other rolled metal amulets, in the ancient synagogue at Maon, near kibbutz Nirim. It is written in Aramaic and pleads to the spirits in the name of Abraxas (known as the protector of children) and the name of the God of Israel to safeguard the embryo of a woman named Shlamsu.
