hello, I’m Yael Zeevi
When I was 21 years old, during a trip in the vicinity of Shiloh, I arrived at Esh Kodesh, which was a pristine mountain where only one family lived. That’s where I met Yona. I fell in love with the place and with Yona, and six months later we got married there in an outdoor ceremony on a stormy night. We’ve been there ever since, we have seven children already, thank God, and 70 families around us.
I grew up in Kiryat Arba, hebron, with a strong sense of connection with the country. My brother, Major Bnaya Sarel, was killed in action during Operation Protective Edge. I’m proud of my brother, since thanks to him, and many others like him, we get to write this marvelous chapter of our people’s history.
I’m a Religious Zionist, I’m committed to halakha, Jewish law, but I think the most important thing for us is returning to this country. When I walk in the vineyards by my settlement, I feel like I’m living out Biblical prophecies, I feel a strong connection to an ancient lineage.
